Job Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive and systematic pre-operative assessments for patients undergoing procedures requiring anaesthesia.
* Review and evaluate patients’ medical history, medication profiles, allergies and investigation results.
* Identify and assess perioperative risks and escalate concerns appropriately when necessary.
* Provide pre-operative education, counselling and support to patients and their families.
* Interpret 12-lead ECG findings, recognise abnormalities and identify critical values in routine blood investigations.
* Recognise early signs of clinical deterioration and promptly escalate concerns to the anaesthetist when required.
* Perform venepuncture and basic patient assessments, including monitoring and recording vital signs.
* Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with established clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
Requirements:
Valid SNB and BCLS
Relevant nursing experience in Anaesthesia Unit (AU), PACU and/or Operating Theatre (OT)
